Though there do happen to be people who actually enjoy their jobs, a vast majority of them don't. Whether it's because management makes life harder for them than it needs to be, or because their coworkers are little Karens in the making, or maybe because the actual job just sucks. That happens too. A lot of us just kind of mindlessly exist and pretend to like the customers while making a mental checklist of groceries we need to buy for tonight's pasta carbonara (which we never get right).
